How it works
A programme built around you
Launchpad isn't a one-size-fits-all course. It's a structured but flexible journey that adapts to your needs, your goals and your pace. From your very first conversation with us through to taking your next steps, we're with you every step of the way.
Meet us
It starts with a relaxed, informal conversation — no forms, no pressure. We'll listen to where you're at, what's been going on, and what you'd like to get out of Launchpad. This is your chance to ask questions and find out if it feels right for you.
Join the group
You'll join a small group of people in a similar position to you — in Galashiels or Hawick. Groups are friendly, relaxed and confidential. You set the pace; there's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with.
Explore & discover
Through guided activities and group discussion, you'll start to explore your strengths, values and interests. You'll build a clearer picture of who you are and what matters to you — the foundation for everything that follows.
Build confidence & skills
We'll work on the practical skills that help in life and work — communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and more. Alongside that, we focus on building your confidence and resilience so you feel ready to take on new challenges.
Plan your next steps
With a clearer sense of direction, you'll start to explore your options — employment, education, training, volunteering, or something else entirely. We'll help you identify realistic, meaningful goals and create a personal action plan.
Launch
You leave Launchpad with a clear plan, new skills, and the confidence to follow through. But you're not on your own — we'll continue to support you as you take your next steps, and connect you with other services if you need them.
